Chapter 10 happy home

If you save someone, you will surely win his respect. Peter had proved this for us. Since Peter had saved Tiger Lily from a dreadful fate, and now there was nothing she and her braves would not do for him. They called Peter the Great White Father, prostrating themselves before him.

“The great white father,” he would say to them in a very lordly manner, as they grovelled at his feet, “is glad to see the Piccaninny warriors protecting his wigwam from the pirates.”

”Me Tiger Lily,” that lovely creature would reply. “Peter Pan save me, me his velly nice friend. Me no let pirates hurt him.” Wow, must be nice feeling! However, they were not as respectful to the other boys as to Peter. While the children were having their evening meal, Peter went out to get the time which meant to find the crocodile and listen to the clock in its stomach. During the make-believe tea, the boys started to complain each other to Wendy. When Peter came back home, they danced. We have leant Peter’s charm in previous chapters, so Peter was no doubt the best dancer among them, but he pretended to be scandalized. Peter invited Wendy to dance, but Wendy thought a mother of an armful of children should not dance. They both pretended to be old parents, even though they were still little boy and girl.

It must be pretty hard to be a mother! Fortunately, I don’t need to be a mother, and I have no chance to be a mother. Maybe I could help someone to be a mother someday and establish a happy home of my own.

Peter’s Escape

Though it was a little bit short, Chapter 9 was a fantastic escape. I am sure Peter was a lucky boy, because he can escape from danger every time; and I am also sure he was a lovely boy, cause even birds loved him. This time he was saved by a bird!

Since the bird can save our little hero, she could not be a common bird. Actually she was the Never bird. Obviously, she belonged to the Never land, we can easily find their connection from their names. I am sure the bird can be a good advertiser, she really know how to show her special identity from her name!

The Never bird learnt to swim since the nest fell into the water. She made desperate efforts to reach Peter on the nest with eggs in it! Obviously, she wanted to save Peter even if her eggs might be damaged! Peter’s charm was so big that it could even make a mom abnegate her babies! How can he do that? I really want to talk to him and learn how to make myself charmed!

Fortunately, Peter didn’t desert the eggs. Instead, he put them into Starkey’s hat (a deep tarpaulin, watertight, with a broad brim). This kind of nest becomes popular later on. Finally, Peter reached the home under the ground as soon as Wendy, who had been carried back by the kite. From here, I guess I know a little bit about why Peter was so charmed! Do it like a real gentleman!

Chapter 8 of Peter Pan

Today I ‘d like to talk about Chapter8. This Chapter is about how Peter saved Tiger Lily’s life in the Mermaids’ Lagoon. At the end of Chapter 7, the author did not know which adventure story he should tell first cause there are several great stories. So he tossed for it, and the Mermaids’ Lagoon won. So I think maybe reading this Chapter will bring me some luck.

At the beginning of the Chapter, the author introduced a really beautiful world to us, the Mermaids’ Lagoon. In the Neverland, If you shut your eyes and are a lucky one, you may see at times a shapeless pool of lovely pale colors suspended in the darkness; then if you squeeze your eyes tighter, the pool begins to take shape, and the colors become so vivid that with another squeeze they must go on fire. But just before they go on fire you see the lagoon. This is so beautiful, and more importantly, there are so many Mermaids live there. They are charmed. The most haunting time at which to see them is at the turn of the moon, when they utter strange wailing cries. But it seems they are not that friendly with children. Although they have learnt a lot from each other and even play each other’s games. I really want to play mermaids’ games myself.

One day, the children were resting on the rock after lunch, just as usual. Their little mum, Wendy was busy, stitching. Suddenly, the sun went away and shadows stole across the water. The Dark came, and even worse, it is not the night, it is pirates. Fortunately, Peter woke up on time and woke up all the other children. They saw a boat, there are three people on the boat, Two of them were pirates, and the third was their captive, Tiger Lily. Her hands and ankles were tied, and she was to be left on the rock to perish, an end to one of her race more terrible than death by fire or torture, for they thought there is no path through water to the happy hunting-ground.

Peter decided to save her. He could wait until the pirates put her on the rock and went away, and then went to save her. But he didn’t like such a safe way. He chose a funny way, he imitated Captain Hook’s voice and ordered the two stupid pirates to set Tiger Lily free. In that way he successfully saved her. But at the same time, the real captain Hook came. Finally a fight broke out between children and pirates. Peter went to fight Hook alone, but unfortunately he was wounded by Hook. He can not fly or swim ant more, and even worse , he and Wendy were left on a rock and the water is rising, they were going to be perished! Finally ,Wendy realized they can use Michael’s kite to escape. But the kite can only lift up one of them. Peter let Wendy go first because he could never escape before a lady. He left himself on the rock and the rock was very small now; soon it would be submerged. I think everyone wants to know how Peter escape from such a case. The author must had the same idea. So he ended Chapter 8 at this point to make everyone can’t wait to read the next Chapter!

Chapter 7 of Peter Pan

After Wendy recovered, their real life in the island began. Chapter 7 guided us into their life on the Neverland. Since the island was not a common island, there must be some differences. First, they lived in hollow trees. Each tree should fit its owner’s body to make sure he can easily go up and down in it. I guess maybe it was not a good place for big fellows to live, because they can hardly find a suitable home, and even worse, they can not go into their friends’ houses while their houses can welcome everybody.

However, if a suitable tree can be found, life will be very interesting. It consisted of one large room, as all houses should do, with a floor in which you could dig if you wanted to go fishing, and in this floor grew stout mushrooms of a charming color, which were used as stools. A Never tree tried hard to grow in the centre of the room, but every morning they sawed the trunk through, level with the floor. By tea-time it was always about two feet high, and then they put a door on top of it, the whole thus becoming a table; as soon as they cleared away, they sawed off the trunk again, and thus there was more room to play. Wonderful house, hurh?

Let’s talk about Wendy. As a new mom, she really had a lot of work to do. . Really there were whole weeks when, except perhaps with a stocking in the evening, she was never above ground. But it seemed she enjoyed such a life. Wendy’s favourite time for sewing and darning was after they had all gone to bed. Then, as she expressed it, she had a breathing time for herself; and she occupied it in making new things for them, and putting double pieces on the knees, for they were all most frightfully hard on their knees. She even gave boys tests! However, Peter never took her test.

The greatest part of the life was it was full of adventures. The adventures were so many that we can never listen to them one by one. Maybe the best way to choose a story was toss for it. I totally agree, cause I always do the same thing when I feel confused.

Chapter 6 of Peter Pan

Our brave boy, Tootles, shot Wendy. At the beginning, he was very proud of himself. You know, a boy is always proud when he thinks he has done something pretty well. But the happiness didn’t last long. Soon they realized that they had shot a girl, even worse, a girl Peter brought back to be their mother. They had just killed their new mother! That was horrible!

At this moment, Peter came back.. The boys, of course, were very nervous. They wanted to hide Wendy, because they knew Peter would be so angry. Peter realized there was something wrong. Finally the shooter, Tootles，decided to tell Peter the truth, though he was so afraid of Peter. Peter was angry because he could not imagine the new mother he brought home had died.

Peter was so angry that he even wanted to kill Tootles, but he soon realized he could not do that, because Tootles was also his friend. Luckily Wendy did not die, the kiss Peter gave her, actually a button, saved Wendy’s life. Everyone was so happy except Tinker Bell. Peter decided to let Tinker Bell be alone for a whole week as a punishment.

Then They created a romantic idea, which is my favorite part of this chapter. Since they could not move Wendy’s body, they built a house around her! I wish one day when I wake up, I can also find a new house around me. You know, it is always hard for a young man to earn himself a new house. To achieve that goal, I don’t mind to be shot, but of course, before that, I will put hundreds of buttons in my clothes to keep safe!

Chapter 5 of Peter Pan

After a long way of traveling, they finally arrived the Neverland. As we know, Wendy was guided by Tinker Bell to another way. Although we are still worried about Wendy. Let’s pay some attention to the introduction of the island.

We can see that Peter really play an important role in the Neverland. Feeling that Peter was on his way back, the Neverland had again woke into life. In his absence things are usually quiet on the island. The fairies take an hour longer in the morning, the beasts attend to their young, the redskins feed heavily for six days and nights, and when pirates and lost boys meet they merely bite their thumbs at each other. But with the coming of Peter, who hates lethargy, they are under way again: if you put your ear to the ground now, you would hear the whole island seething with life. As we mentioned above, this island was not a total heaven for children. There are several forces on the island. At that night, The lost boys were out looking for Peter, the pirates were out looking for the lost boys, the redskins were out looking for the pirates, and the beasts were out looking for the redskins. They were going round and round the island, but they did not meet because all were going at the same rate. When I read this, I am pretty sure there must be some very exciting stories will happen between them.

In this Chapter, the author introduced some main characters to us. Such as Tootles and Nibs in the Children’s team; and some bad pirates, especially their leader, Captain Hook; also the sexy princess of redskins, Tigher Lily. Peter’s main adversary, Captain Hook, was a really dangerous man, the author even show us an instance he killed a man! I am sure such a dangerous man at the beginning will always be defeated finally. That’s the rule of literature. So, although Captain Hook said he wanted to kill Peter, I do not worry about Peter at all. But I am really interested about their fight between each other.

The boys was the first to fall out of the moving circle . They flung themselves down on the sward, close to their underground home. They were looking forward to Peter’s back. Because Peter was the one they had to depend on. They needed Peter to lead them fight against the danger.

Unfortunately, Tinker Bell and Wendy came back before Peter. And Tinker Bell asked the boys to shoot Wendy and told them that was Peter’s order. And Tootles just simply followed the order and shot Wendy. I can understand why he could not be the leader. He was not smart enough! I am sure he would meet a serious case!

Chapter 4 of Peter Pan

In Chapter 4 “flight”, the author told us a story about an interesting traveling to the Neverland. In last chapter ,we already know Peter took Wendy and his brothers go with him. After Wendy and her two young brothers left home with Peter Pan. These four children, of course, were flying all the way. But it seemed Peter didn’t tell them the exact direction to the Neverland. As we know, Peter always likes doing things just follow his feelings. He just told them :“Second to the right, and straight on till morning.” I am sure Peter can not be a good guide.

However, at first, the children were very happy. I can understand, if I have just learnt how to fly and now I am flying in the air, I am sure I must also be very excited. That’s why at first Peter’s companions trusted him implicitly, and so great were the delights of flying that they wasted time circling round church spires or any other tall objects on the way that took their fancy. It seemed they really enjoy this new traveling method. So do I , I wish I were them.

But we also can not ignore they were only rookie flyers. In the air, they could not get food themselves; they could not sleep; they even did not know how to stop flying forward! Fortunately they have Peter to be their watcher, though Peter himself was a naughty boy. When they popped off, down they fell, Peter thought this funny and did not save them until they were about to fall into the sea! How can we censure Peter? He will not be our Peter Pan any more if he changed his way to do things like that.

Finally Peter taught them how to sleep in the air and they got close to the Neverland. But from the dialog between Peter and the three children, we can see Neverland was not only a total heaven for children. There were also dangerous on it; there were so many pirates who were led by Captain Hook, a bad pirate whose right hand was cut off by our Peter and he had a iron hook instead of his right hand! It seemed there must be a lot of adventure in front of them.At the end, Tink Bell could not help herself to be a bad fairy. Because she hated Wendy, she guided her to another way, different from Peter, John and Michael. Our poor Wendy still did not realize she was getting near to the danger. Not matter people always, women in love might be dangerous. I want to add one sentence: “ Even this woman is only a very tiny one!” Who can save Wendy?

Chapter 3 of Peter Pan

Chapter 3 is a good turning point of the story. Since our faithful baby sitter Nana was tied in the yard in the previous chapter, there was no protection for the children at that night. Peter Pan who lost his shadow a week ago came back to look for it. Together with him was a lovely fairy whose name was Tinker Bell. The fairy came in first, she not only brought a very bright light, but also lighted up the whole fancy story. Because at the time the fairy came into the nursery, the best part of our story began. Our leading actor, Peter Pan came into the nursery behind Tinker Bell.

With the help of our fairy, Peter found his shadow very easily. At this point, I really wished to have a fairy myself. But I found the only fairy who light me up was my faithful reading lamp. But Peter met a new trouble after he found his shadow, he could not joined his shadow with his body. Finally he cried, and his sobs woke Wendy. Trust me, if I knew crying could attract a lovely girl, I would cry as much as I could in my childhood.

Then Wendy sow the shadow back for Peter, after that they began an interesting conversation. This is my favorite part of the chapter. From the conversation, the characters of Peter and Wendy can be showed. I think they are both very lovely children. Peter told something about the world he lives—a fairy world, and Wendy told him the stories from her mum. Their stories are totally different from each other, and both of them were attracted by the other one. Believe me, in literature, attract each other can always be the starting point of something romantic.Finally they gave each other a thimble, actually that is a kiss. I am sure this is the most sweet thimble in the world. However, Tinker Bell seemed not their thimbles. So I am sure she will be a little trouble of Wendy later.

Because the attractive between each other, Peter invited Wendy to fly with him to his Neverland and Wendy was very glad to go. See, just as I mentioned above, something romantic happened! Finally Peter taught Wendy and her brothers how to fly and took them away. Mr. and Mrs. Darling were just too late to stop this thing happened. I can’t wait to see the next chapter.

Nana wants to say

Hello, everyone. My name is Nana, and I am a prim Newfoundland dog, female. I belonged to no one in particular until the Darlings engaged me. I had always thought children important, and I became acquainted with the Darlings in Kensington Gardens, where I spent most of my spare time peeping into perambulators, and I was much hated by careless nursemaids, because I liked to follow to their homes and complain of to their mistresses.

However, now I do not do that any more because I am already an employee. I have proved to be quite a treasure of a nurse. The Darlings have three lovely children, Wendy, John, and Michael. My job is to take care of these kids. I strongly believe that I have a genius for knowing how to take care of children. Actually I think I have already formed my own style which is very special and better than any other baby sitter. I am not joking at all. trust me. You can ask any of my three angels, they will tell you how much they like me and need me. I am always proud of being such a special and successful dog.

Our family is always full of happiness. But recently they seem to have some strange dreams. You know, we dogs sometimes can penetrate people’s mind. The dreams of the kids have the same name, Peter Pan. Who is he? I can hardly know. But what I know is if he wants to hurt my kids or takes them away, I will show him what a real virago is.One night, I heard Mrs. Darling screamed when I returned from my evening out. So I rushed into the room, and I saw Peter Pan! He was a lovely boy, clad in skeleton leaves and the juices that ooze out of trees but the most entrancing thing about him was that he had all his first teeth. But since he badly scared my hostess, I made a decision soon. That is : Attack! So I growled and sprang at the boy. And he leapt lightly through the window, what’s more mysterious is we can not find him anywhere outside! However, I snapped his shadow! See, I told you I can be a real virago when I need to be, right? Mrs. Darling decided to roll the shadow up and put it away carefully in a drawer. But if I could be foreseeable, I would never snap that hapless shadow!

A week later, Mr. Darling pretended to take the medicine with Michael, but he did not take his. All he did is just to make Michael take medicine. And what he did next is poured his medicine into my bowl! I have to say, we dogs can not be as smart as human, so I drunk that just as he wish. Then I showed some soreness, unfortunately Mrs. Darling felt not happy because of this. And he even tied me in the yard! I am regretful for showing my soreness that night. If I was not forced to the yard, I could protect my angels. Because Peter Pan came back that night! Though I smelt the danger and barked as loudly as I could. It was just useless to stop some sad things happened!

B: Excuse me, I am your new member.

A: Wait! Who let you in?

B: It’s James knaack.

A: James knaack? That really cool guy! Then you can join us now.

B: That’s great! Which book do we choose?

A: It’s Peter Pan. Peter is a boy who will never grow up.

B: What?! Never grow up? Does he have a serious disease such as lack growth hormone? Then is this book a medicine book talk about the disease?

A: Are you kidding me? Of course not, it’s an interesting story. Peter’s body is always in the same age with his heart. He is children’s friend.

B: That’s cool. So he never have to enter the college to do a lot of research.

A: Well, that’s just your day dream. And Peter Pan can fly in the air. The story began in Darling’ house.One night Peter Pan fly into the house through the window and took the girl fly away with him.

B: And that is always my dream, too. What a pity I can hardly fly into the window.

A: He took the children to the fantastic adventure, lead them to have a happy life, fight with the pirates and finally defeated them. After the girl grew up, he took her daughter again, and the daughter of the daughter.

B: Cool! I wonder how many girls he will finally take away. But it is a really interesting story. I believe I will enjoy it. And can you tell me something about the author? He must be a good writer.

A: Sure. And C will introduce him.

C: Hello.

B: Hello, James knack let me join your group.

C: James Knacck? That really cool guy! Balabalabala……
